Courtyard Door, 39.75” x 82.25”

$2,200.00

Using old salvaged doors in new modern homes adds a distinctive touch of history and character. This one-of-a-kind reclaimed door, once serving as the entrance to the courtyard of a 19th-century French countryside home, is a perfect example. Crafted from oak, it is solid and heavy, featuring a patinated shade of time-worn alabaster paint on the interior that reveals weathered grayed wood beneath. Adorned with hand-forged iron hardware and a peephole with a clover shape punched into a thin sheet of iron, this door brings an unparalleled blend of strength, beauty, and authenticity to any contemporary space.

  • Salvaged in France, 19th century

  • Both sides of the door feature the original white paint weathered over time.

  • The door is constructed from solid oak in 6 six vertical planks connected to the top and bottom rails utilizing pegged and mortise and tenon construction.

  • A “Peephole” shaped like a clover punched into a thin iron sheet adorns the door.

  • Original hand-forged iron strap hinges and lock latches are present (one of the latches has broken away (as found)
