Antique Hand-painted Hitchcock Chair
A lovely hand-painted Hitchcock chair reminiscent of simpler times and days lived at a slower pace. Place at the end of the hall, next to a bathtub, bed, or anywhere you would otherwise style an accent table for an unexpected twist on design.
Known for attention to detail and handcrafted, custom pieces, the Hitchcock company began mass producing quality wood furniture in 1818. Conceptualized by Lambert Hitchcock, the master woodworker began his operation in a small Connecticut town, where, instead of carving or inlaying designs, he used a stenciling technique to embellish his chairs. Popularity of the chairs grew to a 15,000 per year production, with the original designs selling for around only $1.50 per chair!

The chair is worn in a few areas, however no structural damage and is quite sturdy
